Fristads and Connie Costas launch limited-edition workwear-inspired capsule “At least you look professional”

Heritage workwear brand Fristads announces a limited-edition collaboration with Stockholm-based fashion label Connie Costas, introducing a capsule collection that fuses classic Swedish workwear silhouettes with graphic-heavy streetwear design. 

Founded in 2021, Connie Costas draws inspiration from corporate aesthetics and bootleg culture to create souvenir-like garments featuring bold screen prints, embroidery and expressive accessories. In this collaboration, Connie Costas has reinterpreted iconic Fristads staples, paying tribute to the durability, functionality and understated style that define Swedish workwear. Perhaps the “at least you look professional” rings a bell? Well if so you are absolutely right, the name of the collection Is  paying homage and gives tribute to an old Fristads slogan from mid-90’s.

“Given the chance to introduce the 100-year-old workwear manufacturer to a new audience, we are adding our graphic-heavy design ethos to the Fristads wardrobe, exploring and adapting our tongue-in-cheek prints and embroidery onto classic Fristads staples, says Connie Costas.

“With our admiration for hard work and durability, and what now has become the classic Swedish workwear silhoutte, we team up with Fristads for a small collection, paying tribute to Swedish design and determination.”, Connie Costas continues.

“I have been following Connie Costas since his first products and got notice that he was interested in collaborating with Fristads. We got in contact, and I explored the possibilities within the design and marketing department. After a start-up meeting together with the Connie Costas team and Fristads marketing, we both saw the possibilities in this collaboration. Connie Costas vision on our classic work wear staples will allow both brands reach a new target audience and market” , says Oskar Melker Fristads Product Department. 

The capsule, titled “At least you look professional”, takes visual cues from the simple yet playful designs of local construction companies and their service vehicles – an often overlooked but ever-present part of everyday life. Connie Costas has layered its graphic, tongue-in-cheek design language onto key Fristads garments, resulting in a small but distinctive collection of T-shirts, long-sleeves, polos and hats.

This collaboration present Fristads in a new context and introduces our heritage to a new younger audience. It is really exiting, says Sofia Wackling, Marketing Director at Fristads.” 

The limited-edition collection “At least you look professional” is available from 12 December 2025 at www.conniecostas.com and through selected Connie Costas retailers.
