The Swedish clean energy-tech start-up Aira has chosen Fristads as their supplier of company-profiled workwear. Fristads’ long history of making high-quality workwear and leadership on sustainability in the industry were deciding factors for Aira.
Aira is a new venture set out to accelerate the electrification of residential heating with intelligent clean energy-tech. Aira provides complete home energy saving solutions, with heat pumps at the heart. With ambitions of hiring 20,000 clean energy roles over the next decade, Aira wanted to work with an environmentally conscious partner that produced profiled workwear with minimal environmental footprint.
“When we learned more about Aira, we understood that they are really committed to sustainability and want to make all the right choices as they build up the company. We are really thrilled to have them on board, as we share their ethos and believe that good workwear should protect the user, but not at unnecessary expense of the environment,” said Anders Bruhn-Schmidt, Global Solutions Business Development Director at Fristads.
Aira, the clean energy-tech company, launched in Sweden in June 2023 and has since launched in three operational markets, including Germany, Italy and UK. Anticipating quick growth, Aira wanted high-quality workwear that would build brand recognition and amplify the team spirit among their employees. As a clean energy-tech company, it was imperative for Aira to also look at the environmental impact of the workwear.
“Fristads’ leadership on sustainability in workwear and creation of an Environmental Product Declaration for clothing were key reasons why we have chosen them as our uniform partner. We look forward to working together with Fristads to minimise our carbon footprint from workwear,” said Serina Saroian, Head of Brand & Product Marketing at Aira.
Aira’s new workwear collection features profiled garments from Fristads’ standard range – service trousers, sweatshirts, polo shirts, fleece jackets, shorts and more.
“When creating the collection for Aira, it was very important for us to understand the needs of the technicians, so we had a thorough dialogue about the design and functions of the garments. At the same time, we had to work quickly, to support Aira’s ambition to scale across Europe,” said Anders Bruhn-Schmidt.
