Swedish workwear manufacturer Fristads continues to build on their assortment of more sustainable workwear, adding jackets and trousers for autumn and winter to several of their style concepts.
“Whatever the weather, the comfort and safety of our end users is key to us. For the autumn and winter season, we continue to expand our assortment with workwear developed with a smaller environmental impact,” said Lena Bay Højland, Product Director at Fristads.
Fristads launched a new set of style concepts in 2023, including two high-visibility collections – Stiby and Trofta. Many of the garments come with an Environmental Product Declaration and have a proven lower environmental impact than conventionally produced garments. With the seasonal additions to the assortment, the style concepts are completed – offering workwear for all seasons.
Leading the way in sustainability
Fristads has a long-term goal to lead the workwear industry when it comes to sustainability and broke new ground by launching the world’s first environmentally declared clothing collection in 2019. An EPD shows the garment’s total impact on the environment, from construction and material choices to waste in production and emissions from transports.
“We continue to expand our offer of more sustainable workwear to professional users and help our customers to make more environmentally conscious choices. Good work clothes should protect people, but not at unnecessary expense of the environment,” said Lena Bay Højland, Product Director at Fristads.
